Ordering food (passive use):

• Open the Speedy Bites menu.
• Browse available restaurants and menu items.
• Place an order for delivery to your current location.
• Wait for the courier to arrive.
• Food is added to your inventory or consumed directly.

Taking delivery gigs (active use):

• Open Voogle Maps and filter for Speedy Bites jobs.
• Accept a delivery request.
• Pick up food from a restaurant.
• Deliver to the customer location within the time limit.
• Earn payment per completed delivery.

Ordering food to restore hunger

Character hunger in Big Ambitions 1.0 connects to the energy system. A hungry character runs slower, makes worse schedule decisions, and burns through energy bars faster. Food restores the hunger bar and stabilizes energy drain.

What you can order:

• Ready meals from various restaurants.
• Grocery items from El Gato Foods.
• Drinks and snacks from convenience stores.

Delivery destinations:

• Your apartment.
• Your business location.
• Any street address you are standing near.

Cost consideration: Ordering food costs money. In the early game, buying food delivery can eat into startup capital. The alternative is visiting restaurants or food stalls in person, which is free but takes travel time.

Strategic use: If you are running a long play session and your character is losing efficiency due to hunger, a Speedy Bites order to your business location can be worth the cost. The time saved not traveling to a restaurant can be spent on more valuable activities like hiring or inventory management.

Taking Speedy Bites courier gigs

The courier gig is different from ordering food. You are the delivery person, not the customer. This is gig work: you accept a delivery request, pick up the food, and deliver it within a time window.

How to start courier work:

• Open Voogle Maps.
• Filter for Speedy Bites or delivery jobs.
• Find an available delivery request marker.
• Accept the gig.

What the job involves:

• Traveling to a restaurant to pick up a food order.
• Carrying the order to the customer location.
• Completing the delivery within the time limit.
• Receiving payment upon successful delivery.

Earnings:

• Per-delivery payment based on distance and time sensitivity.
• Bonus for fast delivery.
• Cumulative income if you chain multiple deliveries.

How it compares to other early-game income: Speedy Bites courier work pays better per hour than El Gato checkout work if you are efficient and know the city layout. The tradeoff is that courier work requires navigation skill and a vehicle or good subway knowledge. El Gato is location-fixed and predictable.

Speedy Bites vs. other food systems

Your own shop as a food source: If you own a supermarket or food shop, you can buy from your own inventory at cost. This is effectively free food in terms of cash flow, but it requires you to first build and stock the shop.

Restaurants as food sources: You can visit restaurants in person to eat without ordering delivery. This is free but takes time to travel and eat. It works well when your route naturally passes a restaurant.

Speedy Bites delivery: Pays for convenience. Use it when the time cost of traveling to a restaurant exceeds the delivery fee plus food cost.

Speedy Bites and Onyx Private Drivers

These are separate systems that players often confuse.

Onyx Private Drivers — a subscription service for personal transportation. You park your car in Onyx’s garage and summon a driver to take you anywhere in the city. Travel time can be skipped. For long-distance commutes between businesses, this is the quality-of-life feature.

Strategic summary

When Speedy Bites delivery is worth the cost:

• You are running a business and cannot leave to eat.
• The delivery fee is less than the value of your time at that moment.
