Achievements Guide

Big Ambitions ships a large Steam achievement set. Older Early Access guides counted about ninety-nine trophies; the 1.0 full release added twenty-seven more for a launch total of 126. This page is a player-oriented unlock map, not a spoiler dump of every hidden string. Numbers and names can shift in hotfixes — trust your Steam overlay when it disagrees with a sentence here.

Single-player: achievements track your save. There is no multiplayer boost and no redeem code board. Trainers exist in the wild; this wiki will not walk them. Play the systems, then finish ladders.

How the ladders usually work

Most trophies come in bronze / silver / gold tiers for the same idea: bank balance, weekly income, net worth, customers served, taxes paid, buildings owned, apartments rented, furniture spend, vehicles, boats, employees hired, skills trained, and so on. Pushing gold often means a healthy mid-to-late empire, not a special button.

Group your session goals:

  • Money — Big Stacks, Money Maker, Blue Cheese style net-worth tracks. High-traffic retail (supermarket, gifts, liquor) with staffed checkouts still farms these fastest. See make money and the tier list.
  • Property — Bricks and Mortar, Home Sweet Home, Private Mansion, Bling Cribs. Rent several apartments, then buy buildings you actually use. 1.0 tax deductions make ownership less scary — banking and housing. Hamptons mansions help mansion-size ladders when you are ready — The Hamptons.
  • People — Boss Man, Employee of the Month, Human Resources, Geek Squad, Right and Wrong. Hire, schedule, and train. HQ HR desks help at scale — employees and headquarters.
  • Logistics — Hoarder, Storage King, Sailer / Sea Bling style import and warehouse tracks. Build shelves, fill them, run imports — warehouses and importing.
  • Vehicles — Mad Whip, Carpark, Passenger, Mechanic Paradise, Crime Rider. Own, park, and maintain a fleet. Onyx chauffeur is QoL, not a trophy shortcut — vehicles.
  • Tax and society — Society’s Friend tiers for paying the taxman across difficulties. Easy tax is low; hard tax hurts. Pay on time when you can; 1.0 late fees are 10%.

1.0 additions to keep in mind

Launch marketing called out twenty-seven new achievements. Expect extra checks around lifestyle systems (driver, delivery, Hamptons activities, furniture pass) and updated economy milestones. If a trophy mentions a feature you do not recognize, open version 1.0 and the Steam achievement text before grinding the wrong district.

Show-business venues and office agencies can help customer-count and employee-count ladders once staffed correctly — theaters and office businesses — but they are poor “first trophy” picks.

A sane unlock order

  1. Finish the story tutorial once so you understand apartments and the first lease — getting started.
  2. Staff a high-demand retail shop; let money and customer bronze pop naturally.
  3. Buy a van and a warehouse; storage and import silvers start falling.
  4. Open HQ; HR and purchasing trophies become practical.
  5. Own property on a tax week that loves deductions.
  6. Sweep vehicle and furniture gold when the empire is boring.
  7. Mop Hamptons / lifestyle 1.0 trophies last.

What not to do

  • Do not bankrupt a working save chasing one gold by deleting shops you need.
  • Do not run empty 24/7 offices for “employee hours” if payroll kills cash — opening hours.
  • Do not trust a 2023 achievement guide’s thresholds; tiers moved through EA.
  • Do not confuse Workshop blueprints with cheats; layouts are allowed and help furniture trophies honestly — workshop.

Tracking tips

Keep Steam overlay open. Screenshot locked trophies once so you remember the wording. Use Econoview for income goals, BizMan for building counts, and the realtor UI for mansion size. When a patch renames a trophy, this page may lag — Steam news and updates win.

If you only want fun, ignore gold. The empire is the game; the 126 list is a side quest with a very long checklist.
